Sanük sarted in 1997 when Jeff Kelley started making sandals out of inner tubes and indoor-outdoor carpet. Today, they strive to make products that are as much about funk as they are about function. We’ve found the sandals are happiest when they tread the road less traveled – so they are designed accordingly. Because “Sanük” is the Thai word for FUN, the name is also the mantra. The goal is to provide creatively inspired yet thoughtfully designed products for the global outdoor community… Sanük sponsors a diverse group of professional athletes ranging from surfers like Donavon Frankenreiter and Dave Rastovich to rock climbers like Chris Sharma and Randy Leavitt. Like the products they design, their roster of athletes is truly “superfunktional.”
